Hello Everyone!

I am very happy and motivated about my special holiday that is coming up in October this year. My girlfriend June and I are off on an adventure to Nepal.

We are going to do a trek in Nepal for 2 weeks on what is called "Trek for Treatment" organised by the Leprosy Mission of Australia. The money that we raise will enable the mission to provide a range of programs and services to help people affected by leprosy to integrate back into their community and live with dignity.

We are joining a small group of 15 people from all over Australia. When we arrive in Nepal we will go and visit a Leprosy hospital having a chance to see first hand how people are helped and see the various treatments that are available. Leprosy affects peoples lives in many different ways, physically, socially, spiritually & psychologically.  Many Leprosy sufferers live in extreme poverty - we will see how occupational therapy enables those who have physical disabilities that last a life time learn new skills to cope .

We are going to learn so much from this experience and at times it is going to be quite confronting, but at the same time I am sure it is going to be extremely rewarding.

Each of us participating on this trek need to raise some money to help the Leprosy Mission of Australia - so I have decided to raffle my Jelly Roll Tilda Quilt.  Tickets can be purchased from the shop - please help me make a difference - we are so fortunate.
